American workers: Lazy or creative?

Officespace was correct

"The average worker admits to frittering away 2.09 hours per day,"

More like the average disempowered IT worker works for 2.09 hours per week, the rest of the time he's waiting on somebody else to do something else or get permission to do something. What do you expect him to do? I once knew a guy who would fill the time by staring at the wall (he had no internet connection). His eyes would dart left and right and his head would bob forward and backwards, just like a confined zoo animal.

I know another who only shows up for work if he's needed and when he's really really needed he shows up for 30 hours straight if necessary (they pay him per hour).

Now they offshore the head bobbing and internet surfing instead of dropping the price and actually doing the work. Some USA workers who remember what work was make things, afterall it only takes a computer and will power to make software.

So American worker are both lazy and creative depending on what the situation calls for.
