The ISP has no idea which data we need at that point in time. They are also not willing to be totally flexable to everyones needs. This will kill them financially. That is why their are so many different types of data centers. The centers are taylored to the companies needs. Thin clients for everyone, so stupid people can't get hit with a virus or manage a network.

How do wireless devices work with the thin client design? What about offline computing like laptops? Laptop sales = desktop sales. How do you boot a thin client to life untethered? I go into the field to enter data into a laptop next to surveyors. I am in the woods dude. I am 40 miles from the nearest gas station. You just killed the laptop industry. In order for a machine to come to life and be portable, it must be a fat client. As long as their is a need for this (which is the trend), there will be a vendor to sell us applications. Wireless is the future.
