Computers and the Electrik Co. The comparison is water thru the pipes to SNL's "Coke? Pepsi. NO coke, just Pepsi" Pleeze, is all the software written to do all the chores you can think of? And as for budget- dream on. Take a look at the feds. You know they're not thinking of cost. Just look at single sign on when a file sharing network is all they need. My mind conjures up semantics from Mellon running a gig of numbers thru the line per milli-second instead of renting Blue Gene in the back office. When spending is accomplished by someone with an IT background not an MBA, then you can talk all you want about reasons. Til then it's which quagmire they're going to jump into first. Now, what shall I get? A mer or a bee-ma!
