All over the world...
... people believe that the computer is the key to their future. Even if they don't know how their society will change, or how they will be able to take advantage of those changes to advance themselves, they still hope that the magic box will produce wealth.

And one piece of software tells all the world that the computer will do for them what it's capable of doing. That it not only assures the better future can be there for them, but that knowing that software puts them on the inside, where they have never been before. They are now among the people whose lives will improve because they... know Windows!

Sometimes governments appear to give hope, but then snatch it away. They set rules and restrictions that will deprive people of the chances that seem to be offered. They tell people who thought they were on the inside that in truth they were always outside, never deserving more than the second rate.
Now many people have learned the name of the second rate which is all they will be allowed; it is Linux.

People will resist, they will struggle to keep their government from mocking them with a tainted hope. They will pirate Windows.

You can find some serious points in there. Ronald Reagen defined an optimist as one who expects a pony in a room full of excrement. All you have to do, should you so choose, is to find the pony.
