its always a boxing bout

i think we should be more mature in looking at the article. with global trade, the world is shrinking. a perfect example is europe. there r no national boundaries there. sure, many americans IT specialists might think tht they lose jobs due to indians. but hav u ever taken a look at walmart goods? 90% of them wud be made in china. since india gets the high profile (and some low profile) IT jobs due to offshoring, it gets highlighted due to the media. i never hear a brouhaha over why america is losing millions of manufacturing jobs to china. secondly, not many american students pursue grad studies. hav ne of the top ranking officials taken the pains as to why some brilliant undergrads hav to leave college? most of the grad students in research schools r indian or chinese. if america wants even those students to stay back, who will do the research? plus, dont discount the fact tht foreign students needs a place to live and food to eat. tht generates jobs. whn india opened its markets to the western world in 1992, many indian companies died coz they cudnt compete. its like the nature's one evolution mechanism, survival of the fittest. so, everyone has to adapt. and american companies and people will hav to adapt too. dont discount the vast resources tht america has, and according to me, we still hav some of the best schools in the world which provide good research opportunities.. so, lets stop crying and complaining and get down to business!
