Microsoftware = IT Full Employment Act
By the time I got here, Jeff and Alterego had
already said it: As long as Microsoft software
is in use, companies will need flocks of IT
professionals to keep the Microsoft stuff
limping along.

It's a symbiotic relationship: The use of
Microsoft software ensures the need for IT
professionals so IT professionals everywhere
routinely specify Microsoft software over far
better alternatives that don't need narly as
much support.

You'd think CFOs and CEOs would get a clue, but
maybe the CIOs know how to politely, discreetly
lose at golf or some such.
