Idea/concept management
This whole concept of idea management is simple to implement and many large companies fail to recognize the value of establishing a submittal process. This is often caused by a culture where you?re put on a pedestal and you have to defend a pile of accolades. Many workers in R&D don?t take the time to share ideas and receive little or no feedback from upper management on how to incubate things. The lack of vision is often proportional to how much publishing and presentations are performed. A simple change in philosophy can give astounding results and managed by no more then one or two people for hundreds of employee?s. However, egos are big problem and many people think they know all the answers already and rush off and do work without getting early feedback. It?s both a culture and philosophy problem, however, it can be corrected, but teams need to be structured and align with a different approach.
