Measuring System
There are standards for making web pages.
They come from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Microsoft does not follow these standards.
They create their own.

Firefox does follow these W3C standards.

So if a page renders correctly in IE (following Microsoft's standards), and renders incorrectly in Firefox (because the web page is coded for Microsoft's "standards") it should be the fault of Microsoft and the web page, and not Firefox.
