- Who made it is not important!

"Not only to keep Microsoft's long desired wish to get their proprietary tentacles reaching out into the internet at bay"
Really?? I tend to choose software based on how good it is, not on who made it!
As for Firefox, I really like it. The developers did a great job getting what people wanted into the finished article.
That said, I don't use it all the time. Don't ask me why, but I am just not fond of it for some reason, and most of the time I use Maxthon instead. (Yes I know its just a shell over IE)
Firefox also takes so long to start up that I could have opened Maxthon, performed a search and been well into the results before its even ready!
IE7? Sure Ill give it a go, but on a secondary machine before my main work computer! If it turns out to be better than Maxthon or Firefox Ill start using it and not because its an MS product either!
This idea of not using software because of who made it is just plain daft! Its like cutting off your nose to spite your face. If IE7 is any good, if its a fast as Maxthon (Which I prefer to Firefox anyway) then Ill use it. Of course if it turns out to be bloated rubbish then Ill dump it and carry on as I am until something better comes along, but if and when it does, Ill not be looking at the name of the company who wrote it, only how good it is. - Posted by: ISD_z Posted on: 04/25/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
