Good to hear
Glad to see that Microsoft appears to be rectifying the lack of standards support. Ideally, there should be no reason to have to make so many tweaks just to get a page rendering correctly across the board. If only we could get the same for file formats! Then you'd see an interesting show folks. And you'd see a technological renaissance that would make the 90s look like crapola.
I'm not surprised that they are going to include support for tabbed browsing. This is TOO much of a useful feature not to include it in a modern day browser. And for all those that 'hate' the MDI, all I have to say is "you lost suckers!" Even slow aged Microsoft can see how intuitive it is.
However, unless they include something much bigger than all of this, I will stay with Firefox. Not only to keep Microsoft's long desired wish to get their proprietary tentacles reaching out into the internet at bay, but also because Microsoft is basically playing catch up here. They are merely offering things I am already getting someplace else. They'll still need a whole community of people writing extensions and themes, and unhook IE from Windows in order to make things start to look really attractive. But they'll never unhook IE because that would go against the spirit of the whole company which is to wipe out all competition at any and all costs, even of course at the expense of lawfulness and quality.
