Buy Nikon
I have been a serious photographer for about 40 years. I've always dreamed of owning Nikon, but never seemed to have the money to pop. I got hooked into Minolta when it came out with their 9000 line (film) and regretted that decision because of the proprietary flash hookup, lens mounts, etc. I thought of selling the Minolta & go with Nikon as their lenses were reverse compatible, flash was standard shoe, etc., but decided not to. I bought a Nikon 995 (digital) in it's heyday, and it's turned out to be a piece of junk--cheaply made and prone to failures. So, screw Nikon, they aren't the only game in town and are no longer a quality leader in the photographic equipment field, just a designer label.
