Stream vs Download = DRM vs Bandwidth Bill
Multicast is probably a good in-between. I personally prefer to download movies (and use a stream ripper on streams) than to stream them. Most dumb people definitly prefer streaming. FamFilm Makers can't afford big bandwidth bills so they offer downloads and no streams. Most others do streams for user-friendlieness, intellectual property, or both (atom films).
