You hit my gripe spot big time
"but it is still annoying to know that a state feels like they are due when I don't belive they are".

From the Federal government down to city level there is exist and attitude of "Shutup and Pay." I have been involved in my state to to get a property appraisel cap. Short version. The bill to lower the cap went to the State house with the backing of 75% of the citizens and of course the PACS etc against it. The House used a procedural manuever to stop the bill in its tracks. They found a way NOT to vote and the cap and and kill the bill for this session.

My citizens group was told basically to shutup and pay with this statement by Speaker Fred Hill, "You gotta kill the snake when you have the hoe in your hand."

These people the citizens elected to the postions will not listen to their constituents. They think OUR money is theirs. I resent that greatly.

Like you I will continue to buy online because of bargains and I hate shopping in brick and mortar stores, but the attitude of these legislatures really chaps my, well you know.
