What about copper cable manufacturers?
Since any signal has to become analogue before it hits speaker or screen (don't be excited with your USB speakers - they contain converter to analogue signal and amplifier), then how to tackle those manufacturers of cables? Do they also need some licensing for protection technologies?

Remebember that hacking into any signal for professsional is not so difficult. I know because I am pro in electronic signals... but not a hacker. That does not mean I do not know some of them.
