Programmers or just one programmer?
Though the text in bold says "programmers", the first quote says:

An IBM representative on Wednesday said that the ad was for one position in the company's advanced technology group. The individual will make contributions to the Firefox project, the representative said.

The ad, at least, is for one programmer.

I don't think this article is giving us a clear picture of IBM's intentions, so far.

People who decry Microsoft's "vaporware" pronouncements should also be restrained in their exultation about IBM strategies.
I suggest waiting for a commitment before you cheer.
