Outages continue in Virginia 4-12, 4-12, 4-14
All: Not only do the DNS server outages continue, but Comcast billing credit personnel actually denied there were any outages last week (4/7) until I offered to send them the URL for the CNET article about that reported outage. There is currently one underway affecting cable modem service users in northern Virginia, and no one seems to be able to provide a rational explanation of and what-- after almost two weeks of intermittent outages, as reported here and at other trade press community comment sites -- the real problem is, and why Comcast cannot resolve. Not a word from Comcast to its customers, either, or none that I have received. I have recommended Comcast cable modem service here in Northern Virginia to neighbors and colleagues, but after all the disruptions, and absolutely horrible customer service, I think it's time to move to Verizon DSL, which was recently announced as being available in my neighborhood. What a pain, and Comcast better get with it, or their next quarterly results are likely to show a decline in the number of cable modem subscribers!
