My problems started late in the afternoon, and lasted until late in the evening that day. VERY slow service. It was more like "intermittant". Sometimes I'd get a few page loads, but mostly I'd just get the standard "DNS error". I was wondering if Comcast's servers/routers were suffering from a DOS attack.

I tried unplugging/replugging my modem a few times. I think after the 3rd try everything was back to normal, but according to this article, that was just a coincidence.
