Flash needs to offer control to end users as well...
The great majority of the time, anything Flash related just annoys the hell out of me. Thus the reason it has been removed from all of our computers (most of our other users feel the same way).

You go to a web site to read the content and what do you get???? A bunch of garbage flashing and dancing around the screen. Incredibly distracting to say the least. If Flash could turned on/off at will, that would go a LONG way in making it more useable software. Until then, I know of a lot of computers that will never have it installed.

This type of issue plays very well into the need to "open" the Flash format. If Macromedia doesn't want to provide this type of functionality, someone else would certainly create it and make it available.
