There are various type of meta search engine such as metacrawler, dogpile which search the result on the basis several individual search engines and their databases of web pages.Ranking concept are different for different search engine. So it is unfare if we judge the site ranking on the basis of one rule that has been followed by particular search engine.The ranking concept of one search engine may completely differ from the other. One site which is found on the top when clicking the keyword "google" may be found on tenth position if we search in other search engine.Thus it is better if we judge the ranking of the site by averaging the overall ranking in present search engine.So there is no doubt to implement meta search engine to be better than other search engine for its own originality and unique way to rank the web pages.
