File swapping or exchanging process can't be illegal. The act itself is not illegal.
So is the channel it is done in, whether over coffee table, in the bus, in library, in public garden, in tunnels, through large tubes,
through small tubes, through wires, etc.

Whether it is computer files or physical paper files.

Unless the content of the file itself is protected by copyright laws to certain extend.

Since the "content" itself is copyright.

Then change the content.
Modify the content to something else.
Different content.
Jumbled content.
Scrambled content.
Meaningless content.
Or even different format.
So there can't be copyright for gibberish contents.

Let some genius on the receipient side,
decide what he wants to do with the scrambled gibberish content.

Whether he want to scramble it 1,000 times more
or paint his face on it.

Or he could use any EXISTING program or software
available in the current market to turn that gibberish meaningless data into something useful, hmmm maybe a nice art design, etc..

Or even a NEW program that is promoted & advertised for usage for word processing, etc BUT at the same time able to turn that meaningless data into something like art, etc.

Since it is a meaningless content, a garbage
content, so there should be no copyright issue.

Also the channel how you exchange the garbage
shouldn't pose a problem. Whether you exchange
the garbage at your home, public garden (without
littering), through garbage pipes, etc.

Unless somebody is able claim copyright to
garbage, rubbish, dirt, etc!

BTW, my backyard has tons of rubbish. Anybody
wants to claim copyright to rubbish is more
than welcome to clear the rubbish in my backyard.
In fact, I'll even give that person a free soda
for helping me clear the garbage.

So exchanging or swapping garbage & rubbish
can't be illegal right?

As for audio format, e.g. MP3, WMA, WAV, etc.
I've tons of my "singing in the bathroom"
songs for any record company that wants
to sell them & copryright them.

So for the meantime, I should be able
to swap & exchange bathroom songs in audio files
format freely without infringing any copyright laws right?

Afterall the content belongs to me and my friends.

So the technology (whether software or hardware)
that allows me to exchange my songs or content through wire or AIR!(wireless) cannot be
illegal right?

Otherwise the computer & mobile phone manufacturers & telecommunication companies would be in trouble because everyday I swap & exchange contents with my friends - my voice, my SMS, MMS, emails, other digital files, etc.

happy
