New Federalist States of Amerika. Fascism! Let's see now, we are a conquering nation (sic Roman Empire...) and now we are headed down the road to fascism (sic Nazi Germany...) study history, look at the patterns of the past and then look at the path we are on as a nation. Rome conquered most of the known world and when they started to crumble from within due to corruption and excessive religious influence within the government, Rome went on a new campaign to conquer more nations. The hope was to infuse Rome with more power and to deflect the decay of their once great society.
I see the United States on the same path... Afghanistan, Iraq, who is next? The world is asking the same question. We are seen as a conquering nation, no longer respected but feared. Not a good way to make friends now is it?
Next, much like Nazi Germany, our freedom to poses weapons is slowly being eroded away. Our freedom to assemble and openly speak without persecution or prosecution are being assaulted daily. There are laws in effect now (read Patriot Act) that allow people to be held without writ, warrant or probable cause. Which is against our constitution. And daily we are being told it's for our safety. RFID is being pushed as a method not to protect us from the bad people, but to track and control us. Has it been implemented? Not yet, but if things continue on the same path as they are now...
My gut tells me that one of two things will transpire the next election:
1.George Bush will be elected to a third term (I know that currently that is not possible but with the Patriot Act, that law becomes a moot point.)
2.Jeb Bush will be the next president.
Let's see if I am right, I should hope not but I am morbidly curious.
Bottom line, being an American is not what it used to be and if things don't start changing with the people to control the government, the voice of the people will matter no more. - Posted by: Linux User 147560 Posted on: 03/25/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
