RE: Give me a break
Actually quite interestingly enough i actually do like Firefox a lot better then Internet Explorer. But that's just a personal opinion, only because there is a point in time when well, you just have to try something new. Without change you basically die and Firefox is a good alternative.

For as much as you like to claim Internet Explorer to be feature rich is actually a mis-nomer. Internet Explorer has not been a feature rich browser nor has it ever been used for a feature rich browing service. In this example that would be AOL.

Not to mention Microsoft re-cycles the old code for Internet Explorer instead of making new. Microsoft has written a completely different code base for their operating systems, IE.. when Windows NT 3.0 was first released it was a completely different code base from Windows 95. But Microsoft has never released a brand new code base for Internet Explorer since Windows 3.1 & 3.11.

Why's that important? Because, seriously some programs you need to start from the beginning if you have a lot of complaints. You can't just keep patching it, because then that open's new problems, especially since it has been patched since 1992 when Internet Explorer first appeared.

If Microsoft wants to prove it's serious about dealing with security issues, then whan they need to do is build up a brand new version of Internet Explorer from the ground up and use all the knowledge of holes, securities, etc... to make a much better browser that will triumph over everyone else. Until then they can't say boo.

""Firefox is not ready for prime time. I was asking my rep about this and he told me Firefox was really just a hacked version of Netscape and that Netscape went out of business because Internet Explorer was, and I quote him here, "feature rich and just awesome dude". Some of my IT guys thought they were smart and were trying to install Firefox on their home machines but I caught them red handed talking about it and subsequently sited them for breach of corporate security policy. My rep and I will defend this Microsoft network at all costs. ISA Server 2004 is going strong and I will block all non-Microsoft software at the gates.""
