At least check one fact

Why not just protect everyone's freedom of speech? I realize that's not popular with this administration but I believe it's still part of the Constitution. Maybe I should check my facts.

Check the fact that John McCain (R-AZ) and Russ Feingold (D-WI) and Representatives Christopher Shays (R-CT) and Marty Meehan (D-MA), introduced the CFR to what was then a democrat controlled congress. Pres Bush did sign it into law which withstood a challenge of constitutionality in the high court. So, 2 dems and 2 repubs, with the backing of the dem controlled congress and the pres signature.

So to say that "free speech is not popular with the current administration", is a little misleading.
