Ya know what the real problem is?
Apathy. Apathy by the American voter. The only time the electorate gets whipped into awareness is when stories like Shiavo, Social Security, Medicare etc is brought to the forefront by the fourth estate (the media). Our rights to speak and others do not register on their radar.

Like a bunch of sheep being led to slaughter the typical voter gets all whipped up into a frenzy, "Oh we gotta stop the rich from giving so much money to political campaigns." On the surface these seems like a good idea. However, every law that is created to restrict a certain group from some action adversely affects the EVERYONE. Little by little the voices and rights of regular folks is being snuffed out.

Getting involved in stopping this trash is more than voting every two years and bitching the rest of the time. No matter your political persuasion or ideological tilt action is getting involved in groups that support your ideas, writing calling your legislature, talking to groups of people and your peers, creating websites and alerting people to take action. This legislation is just one more small step to silence the masses and allow the Dan Rathers to be the voice. Notice how the media and bloggers will be exempted from the rules. What about us? Sheesh I am sick of this crap. The fight continues.
