No money is not speech

But restricting my choice to spend any amount of money I choose on any candidate I choose is wrong.

The "law" designed to reduce the amount of monies spent by "rich folks" in political campaigns has ended up stifling the "poor folks" right ot speak.

Notice at know time have I said I have a right to be heard or "anyone or everyone" must listen to me. I just have a right to speak without being limited in that speech. Money facilitates my methods to get my message out. Limiting the money stifles my rights to speak.

Do you realize what this says? I do have a political website through which I endorse candidates. By the proposed rules I will have to report the amount of money spent to maintain that website as a political contribution within the FEC restrictions. If I spend more than allowed I can be arrested. That is an infringement of my first amendmant rights. An undue restriction limiting the amount that "I speak online."

Don't you find it intersting that the current campaign finance rules did not restrict the amount of monies collected by the candidates? Don't you find it intersting that George Soros contributed $240 million to moneon.org.? Don't you find it intersting that over $200 million was spent by both Kerry and Bush?
