There are more important advantages of Gmail
I really don't see why Yahoo and MSN are chasing after Google's inbox limit. There are much better reasons for using Gmail than the 1GB of storage.

Significantly less spam is one of them, but I think that the situation will change as Gmail user numbers rise, and more spammers focus on defeating the Gmail spam filter.

For me, the most important reason is the interface. Google interface is simple, just like its signature homepage, and very fast to load and function. I have broadband internet, however it takes me a second or two to switch from the home page (which is useless in itself) to the inbox in Yahoo. Plus, there are no graphic advertisings in Gmail, and no huge banner in the middle of the page when you logout.

I used Yahoo mail before Gmail started for almost all of my email conversations. Now, my account there is a relic of the past. From my perspective, the best thing Yahoo could do would be to simplify and lighten their interface, remove the graphics ads, and put in better spam protection.
