THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Supporters of the Utah bill, such as advocacy group Citizens Against Pornography, had pressed for the measure as a way to give parents more control of their home Internet connections."

This is one of the saddest statements I have ever heard! This is a case of people with no computer education writing laws blindly with no regard for free speech, personal freedom, and obviously no parenting skills....they are completely clueless! They think they can prop their kid up in front of a computer instead of watching them and teaching them. The same parents that probably do this with their tv sets. No one wants to parent anymore at all. I grew up with an internet connection, I was smart enough to get porn magazines and weapons, etc. BUT I HAD PARENTS! They taught me right from wrong!!! It didn't matter if I saw a naked horse with 6 sets of genitals, etc....I stayed on track. Why does everyone think that we should legislate a child's upbringing.

Yes there is more information available to children these days. This can be a good thing...when you have PARENTS WHO PARENT! The problem is not the internet, it is the world filled with lazy morons.

They think you bring a computer home and plug it into the wall and your done. It's not a god forsaken toaster oven! It is a complex peice of equiptment....if you want to be safe on the internet, LEARN what you need to do to be safe. When computers start exploding and killing people, I will agree that something has to be changed!!!! until then, all of the laws are in effect to handle every situation. We don't need any more laws passed, we have already stomped all over the constitution already.

No one will be happy until we live in a policed state with no freedom to do anything. Hey lets rewite all the poetry, books, lets cleanse all of the ideas deemed unacceptable. Lets erase all of history because some special interest group thinks we should. Lets coat the whole world in foam so were all so safe that I puke. This isn't the way it was meant to be. Were burning our country to the ground. If you think I'm going overboard then your part of the problem.
