Jeeves' answer
This is how dumb it is:
1 - IAC plans to promote its other sites on Ask Jeeves. That is the worst idea I've ever heard. Google's success is not just better technology. It is better technology combined with objective search results. Search without objectivity is worthless.
2 - IAC plans to use Ask Jeeves as the search technology of the various IAC sites. Once again, terrible idea. I'd rather leave the site and use Google, Yahoo or A9, even if I want to search within an IAC site.
3 - I read something about IAC praising on Ask Jeeves' natural language search capabilities. I highly doubt it. Natural language search is still in the stone ages and will be for quite some time.
