If "most everyone" is the standard of measure...
... then because "most everyone" is now using a browser with ActiveX capabilities, then it should be included. wink

I neither expect nor desire ActiveX functionality. Most everyone does NOT want ActiveX technology.

In truth, of course, most people would not recognize ActiveX. They know only its contribution when they see it.
Why should anyone want "most everyone" deprived? Very elitist, in an unfortunate way.

And, of course, I would not turn away a volunteer after a disaster. No one loses a job because of that assistance. (And if you haven't noticed my descriptions of how jobs are necessarily lost because of open source, please wait for a different opportunity for discussion.)

By the way, the economics of charity are strange. Once, I have read, a famine in India attracted a great deal of attention in the United States. A number of farmers decided to donate food, which saved many lives.
There was a contract between India and French farmers to supply food. Both because the famine had made the government poor and because the Americans had supplied so much food, the Indian government cancelled the contract with France.
This, in turn, caused a number of French farmers to be unable to sell their crops. Many went broke, and were forced to leave farming or accept emergency subsidies, which came to almost the value of the food donated by the United States. (I'm sure the US farmers were not too disturbed by the plight of their French counterparts; it's a competitive market.)

In charity, as in so much else of life, no good deed goes unpunished.
