There is NO SUBORDINATION! Get over it!

Forcing a company to be compliant with the rest of the world should be called leveling the playing field, not subordinating anything!

In your one-upsmanship arrogance you fail to realize how dumb what you are suggesting is. The article is about STANDARDS and you are suggesting adding PROPRIETARY technology. I neither expect nor desire ActiveX functionality. Most everyone does NOT want ActiveX technology. Deal with it..

BWAHAHAHA!!! What?! I GUARANTEE you that you didn't spend more than ten minutes using Firefox. I'll bet you surfed 3 or 4 pages and then never used it again.

You lost me on this one. To me, ANYTHING is a better alternative to IE. Period.

So let me guess: if you were a tsunami victim or a victim of the tornadoes in Florida, and volunteer relief workers came to your aid..you'd turn them away merely because they aren't getting paid.
Your attitude towards this is in the poorest spirit imaginable. You are a true Microsoftian: the almighty dollar comes before ANYTHING and EVERYTHING else.
BTW, we're all STILL waiting for you to point to some kind of objective analysis which lends support to or proves your theory that open source is taking away jobs..;-)
