But does that benifit society in general?
I am all for compensating the creator but how long should we do so?

Also I don't think it's impossible to make money off creation you make that enters the public domain.

I like to think of the book example. Say you first few novels enter the public domain. Nothing stops you from selling them still and you have an edge over the competition. You can bundle you work currently under copyright with your public domain works for example.

I honestly think that that todays culture will be viod in history as culture is lost due to copyrights.
