In 1982 I bough CDs for $45
Cassette tapes then were $17 and LPs could be had for $14.

I don't know about you but $20 is much cheaper today than the $45 I paid back in the 80s. Also I haven't paid $20 for CD since the mid 90s. I get all my CDs for $12-$14 and if you like them really cheap you can alway buy at Walmart for $10-$12. The only CDs I see that are more expensive are ones that have been collecting dust on the shelf for years due to being expensive.
