I like orbiter. Super Mega Realistic and as of 2003 & 2005 quite usable.
More Hyper-realistic than almost any other game. Requires good knowlege of space exploration and orbit machanics and at least a mid-high school competency and general comfort of Math and Physics.

You can make science fiction worlds come to life. Orbiter doesn't offer very good validation for atmospheres but you can use the Alien Planet Designer - http://planetdesigner.co.uk/ - for that. My main use is turning pressure and gas % into most of the values that orbiter wants with some additional unit conversions. Making your own planets and scenarios from scrath ups the math and physics requirement to low college level.
