Claria (formerly Gator) - Thieves knows more about security than guards
Not that I think this is a brilliant move, BUT:

Anti-Virus companies often hire Virus writers to work for them.Same applies to everything from Art Galleries to the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank - they go out of their way to hire and protect the creators of forgeries in an attempt to get that talent harnessed 'for good' so as to say.

This is just another example of that behavior.

Now this isn't always a great move, but in this case I happen to see the logic -- who would know more about ways to invade, and destroy someone's privacy than Claria (/Gator)?
