- On the 3rd world countries
-
Do you know what a 3rd world coutry is?
A third world country is any country that is not aligned with either NATO (1st world) or the Soviet Block (2nd world).
So thier is no 4th world, can't be if the catch all for any other country is 3rd world.
3rd world country does not mean poor or non democratic. Some coutries that are 3rd world are rich nations. For example Saudi Arabia or Japan. Some might have less freedoms or more freedoms. What about Australia or New Zealand? I'm sure they aren't memeber of the NATO (North Atalantic Treaty Organization) and therefore are also 3rd world nations.
Poor nations are developing nations. Those are nations that haven't progessed as far economically as the richer nations. - Posted by: voska Posted on: 02/22/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
