MY authority.

They are ONLY hijacking your pages on MY machine. They're not doing it to anyone else (who doesn't have the toolbar), they're not doing it on any other machine.

They're doing it at the request of the owner of the machine doing the display.

Would you attempt to ban me from, say, copy/pasting the information about a product into Google's search in order to try to find a better price? That's precisely what this is doing, except that I tell it once, and it does it forever. But it is at *my* request.

It doesn't affect anyone else's computer, and it doesn't affect your PAGE. It affects MY DISPLAY of your page.

And that is permissible.
