Google is not exempt
A user elected feature, as we all know, is a short step away from an exploit. It wont take long for someone to figure out to use this "feature" to generate a new breed of phishing. Also, the users and Google do not have my permission or the permission of my clients to re-render their content. The article was right in comparing this to an MS action. It's not okay when they try it and not's okay when anyone else tries it. Add this to other recent stories regarding Google, and it's easy to see where they are trying to go. Control, plain and simple. In any case, they have no protection from altering copyrighted content and will be in court over this one at some point.
