The real purpose of this forum...
ZDnet is not providing a community service. This Forum is brilliant marketing. Without the Forum, you would read the story and then move on to another site. The Forum keeps you at ZDNET and the longer you stay here, the greater chance that you will see and advertisment that interests you and click on it. As soon as you click that advertisment, ZDNET gets a few more bucks in the bank so they can pay their writers and for the servers that must be very expensive for a site that gets this many hits.

You'll never find an offsite link in ZDNET stories. Perhaps ZDNET would be first inline to sue Google. I'll advise my clients to be second. I'll call and tell them that Google is in front of their store holding up a big sign directing customers to the competitor down the street.
