They just might standardize a couple of kinds.
But, it would be better to just have one or two. And, it would be best to have the cooperation of the browser venders, INCLUDING Microsoft so that users would not have to download anything. But, Microsoft will not support anything directly that they view as a threat to Longhorn, so in that respect, it might have to be a plugin, or use scripting, niether of which are optimal. And, websites do not want to have to support more than one type of forms, or require a plugin download to use their site.
