Once again this is not about e-business...
"I understand where WHAT is coming from, but they are browser
makers, not forms experts," Pemberton said. "It is important to
build something that is future-proof and not a Band-Aid
solution. Forms (technology) is the basis of the e-commerce
revolution and so it is important to do it right."

Pemberton, the penny hasn't dropped yet, has it? E-Business is
about access from all with all. Now, if that means Microsoft
doesn't get to develop something that everyone has to buy
because it doesn't satisfy the e-business imperitive, too bad.

For closed-systems without public access, it is nearly irrelevant
who does what. But if my browser can't order through your site,
YOU lose, not me.

So far, the only websites I have any lack of functionality with are
websites written exclusively for functionality with IE. Too bad
for them, I buy elsewhere. Even Expedia is non-IE friendly.

If the Dept of Defense doesn't like scripts, why should
consumers in France or Chad or Miramar be beholding to that?

This whole discussion is sickening. Humans f**king up again!
