Greetings Jim, I know how they will be caught
The jack booted governement and RIAA are going to set up road blocks in the guise of DWI check points. They will be checking to insure that we all have our microchip implanted ID cards. In the meantime a cursory check will be made of all music devices and media in the vehicle to insure that the files are legal. Probable cause will be if the files are wav versus mp3.

If wav files are found then a warrent will be issued to search your home and computer to see if Napster has been manipulated. Now since the RIAA is everywhere they have already planted spies on your block to make sure that no one downloads or converts nusic illegally. If you see some chemically blonde, fat girl, in a tube top hanging out of the window of a trailer hollering, "Take his ass to jail," while a news crew from 60 Minutes is interviewing your wife and kids you just might be in trouble. That is how the RIAA can track you.

Seriously though, the only way the RIAA could possibly track your usage is to check with your IP or Napster and to see if you have exceeded some download threshhold they have determined as suspicious. Me thinks people give the RIAA too much power.

Funny thing about this here teck stuff (sic) the harder companies try to secure the files from "theft" the harder people some will find to break it. To each his own and there own consciense.
