Might be Napsters Saviour...
This might be the saviour of that Napster rental model. The problems with the rental model:

1. Lose the music when subscription finishes.
2. No guarantee that the new bands you like will be available in the rental - you may be stuck with B team acts.
3. Risk of cable style spreading, i.e. they introduce Napster premium with more music, but in reality without premium those extra tracks would be available on Napster regular. Your simply paying more for the same product.

If the copy protection can be broken then thats a good thing! Wouldn't it help Napster the same way cheap pirated Windows helped MS in developing countries?
