Don't know how they will be caught...nor do I know if
making a recording of something that is played is illegal since
people have been doing it for years as another poster pointed
out. People use to tape songs off the radio and such. So say
the Napster users choose to rent songs...play them and record
them off whatever device they are playing it on? How in the
world would the RIAA and such know? Then people would NOT
need to continue to pay Napster their rental fee every month but
rather jump on once and a while to check out new stuff and
repeat. They could also share what they recorded with friends
by saving the recording to a universal format like MP3 and yes
even put it on an iPod then. Again I don't know how the RIAA
could track this stuff if it is transfered from MP3 player to MP3
player and NOT on computer networks. Sounds tricky too me.
