:->The total absence of interoperability between DRM removes not only consumers' power to independently choose their purchase and where they buy it from but also constitutes a significant restraint on the free circulation of creative works," :::
I was trying to figure out that fluzy of a statement myself. I think that if its a matter of securing the copyright,it is also a matter of aditional work on present day drm.Since most of consumers can prevail in recognizing 'features of a digital file',they cannot ascertain the benificiary of the .drm,or the 'features of the drm.In order to adjust to the accesories offered.
Probably not the same pathway of context for this french statement. But I dont understand how it is that the drm conditions purchases that are singular, whole, unchanged to consist of 'copyright violation simply through everyday use of devices the copyrighted works are portrayed in performance on.
Of course everybody from the grammies yesternight,is now probably rather tucked in. I would challenge the person speaking of 'owning the music,to speculate on what that means to 'loosing it in lieu of what 'third party associations do in copyrights persistence in performance on devices. Where you pretty much denie yourselves person,in order to merely 'participate, among parties unknown.
I for one know that 'fair-use shouldn't be on the internet. But I know that what 'internet is there is there for artists, and space for communications as well. And I know, that with these 'digital files,he who pays first, gets burned first. Although I could better agree that compensation is a term he deems for copyrights.Since most is relevent to 'production standards at the cost of that production.
The mounting cry for IP,is partially though,I believe the biggest behemeth baby in the pit.
Respectfully.
I was thinking though Im not an artist. But as a consumer I still have no representation in my purchase power for my person. But being an artist if you new your customers where getting stuffed in a bankers bag you might consider the traits that made it so.
RIAAs got a union,. Good luck on that.
