what does that have to do with anything?
its pretty well known, though not admitted, that MS is waiting on intel to get their 64 bit desktop processors out before releasing WindowsXP 64 bit edition.

AMD Opteron, is made by AMD, not intel. And even Intel does have out some 64 bit edtion chips in Xeons in servers and workstations, just not for the normal desktop. The current Windows XP sold on these system, are the normal 32 bit version, and you lose most of your 64bit functionality.


so im not really sure what your statement has to do with the original post at all.
