My $.02 ....
I deal with this crap everyday, I have Business clients as well individual. Agreed Adware IS Spyware. 180, New.net are two of the most common DECEPTIVE companies I have eliminated from clients machines, there exists NO possible way anyone can convince me they are a "good thing" simply because they have infiltrated COAST by deceiving the "Organization" implying they have changed their "practices", I don't see how "buying your vendors" makes you more acceptable. As for Weatherbug, I no longer have issues with that, they have indeed changed in a manner that adware is not installed without consent and has made it "easy" for the user to determine this, the only adware from them I have seen since this is only in the "WeatherBug window" while you have the program running and runs without "popups". I commend Webroot Software, Aluria Software and Computer Associates International for their decision.
