Here in Canada...
... we have a tamer version of the patriot act. It allow the RCMP to obtain Security Certificate based on information that is classified. If they obtain these security certificates they can bust down you door and take you away with no due process and lock you up for no other reason given than a security certificate has been issued. They don't have to tell you anything about why you are being held. The US has a very similar method of handling people they supect of being terrorists. I'd say that's a loss of freedom.

I mean how do they go about getting the paper work required to arrest you in this manner? Top secret they say but who really knows. There is not checks and balances to make sure this isn't abused. So far I don't think any abuses but mistakes have been made due to people being over zealous.
