Not bad ideas, support is good, but it sounds
like Firefox is getting caught up in the battle over market share. It's very easy to get so caught up in this struggle that too many resources are redirected away from the products and/or services. In turn, the product will loose its edge.

Most of your major IT vendors are already there. The shape of today's IT is the result. From continually bug ridden software to the sue happy patent holders. Companies would rather try to develop the best marketing schemes than make their products the best they can be.

I don't believe Open Source is about market share. More companies on both sides of the fence need to take a lesson from Apache.org. They never belittle any platforms, or competing products or talk trash about their software. They simply give you the best web server money can't buy. And they are respected in all IT arenas.

If your product is top quality, it will grab its own market share. And hold it.

Firefox is a good browser but it could be better.
