Still, I wonder if there isn't a difference here between naming your store "Microsoft" and having links to to your company categorized under the Microsoft name? For instance, what if I have a vendor in my magazine who gets categorized under the Microsoft index, which is a list of providers of Microsoft services?

I do see your point, though, regarding trading on someone else's trademarked name. I just wonder if there isn't precedent in printed magazines for the practice. Is there confusion as to whether the sites you are finding are Microsoft, or Oracle, or Le Meridien? Would that violate American free speech rules (which doesn't apply to France)?

On the other hand, I couldn't send out documents with the Microsoft logo atop it.

Anyway, you convinced me that this is a gray area, though I'm not sure I agree with the ruling.
