Well let me clue you into something about: the military... it's the grunts, as you like to say, that run the show. In the Navy E7-E9 run the Ship, the officers are there for the political fallout. E6 is the strong arm of the E7 and the rest well... they make it happen.

Thing is a good E7 knows how to motivate his people and how treat them to get top performance out of them... even to motivate them to do things that may kill them in the end. I can count on one hand the number of officers I would have followed without question. I need some extra hands and feet for the Chief Petty Officers that I gave the same loyalty to.
